Paper versions of Mental Load-Tests
Why are there mental load tests?
Mental Load refers to the burden of everyday, invisible responsibilities for managing household and family life at home, coordinating and mediating within teams in a professional context, as well as maintaining relationships and addressing the needs and feelings of everyone involved (for more information: equalcareday.de/mental-load).
The term Mental Load is now widely recognized, so awareness of it and the question “What is my Mental Load?” have become topics of discussion for many people.
As of April 2026, over 50,000 people have taken the Mental Load-Test@home to answer this question.
We, the Initiative Equal Care and the organization behind it, klische*esc e.V., see this as an opportunity for everyone to explore the topic of mental load on a personal level. Our tests provide a starting point for conversations about the roles and distribution of the tasks listed.
We offer this online resource free of charge and on a volunteer basis, and therefore welcome donations.
